Procurement strategy

The Faculty has worked with a range of Australian companies to develop their corporate procurement strategies. By creating a link between corporate objectives, spend profile and corporate culture we ensure these strategies are both actionable and appropriate for each organisation.

Business case for procurement change

Justifying the addition of resources or investment in procurement technology is often difficult. The Faculty has developed a strategic process to position procurement investments in a meaningful way for senior management. This involves quantifying the value of implementing 'best practice' procurement practices to organisations; ensuring that recommended initiatives are strongly linked to the organisation's corporate goals. Building senior management and broader stakeholder support is an important part of this process.

Procurement Roundtable

A vision for the future and the knowledge for the present is a benefit of The Faculty's procurement roundtable. Procurement leaders from leading Australian organisations meet regularly to share, learn and raise the bar on procurement strategy. Agreed research projects are undertaken to inform strategy with the latest thinking and evidence based results. Meetings and workshops are scheduled over a calendar year and admission to the group guarantees an aligned peer network of leaders in the profession.

Procurement policy

In working with clients to develop organisation-wide purchasing policies and guidelines, The Faculty covers the full gamut of issues from the roles and responsibilities of procurement groups throughout an organisation, ethics, reciprocity, spend approval limits, qualifying and selecting suppliers and the impact of other corporate policies on procurement.

Category management planning

We work with clients to develop strategy planning guidelines to provide strategic buyers with a step-by-step process for researching their category and developing negotiation, order and pay strategies to suit the supply market dynamics and internal corporate culture.
