  • To the Rescue Breakfast

Leading & Learning Procurement Breakfast Series

The Faculty is delighted to announce that Christine Nixon will be joining us as our special guest speaker for the final Procurement Breakfast of 2009 on Friday November 20th. Christine was recently called upon to Chair the Victorian Bushfire Reconstruction and Recovery Authority following the devastating bushfires this year and has taken on the crucial role of heading the largest rebuilding and recovery program Victoria has ever faced.

Challenged with this enormous task, Christine moved quickly to secure top talent across government and industry, including well known procurement executive Betsy Harrington of BHP Billiton. Betsy is with VBRRA as a loaned executive and is heading up the Operations area which includes the procurement and logistics arm of the recovery.

Hear how the recovery and rebuilding process is progressing, how our profession is making a difference in contributing invaluable knowledge and skills in assisting in this enormous recovery program and be inspired by Christine's first hand stories of the career successes and challenges that have brought her to her current role.

    What is this Procurement Breakfast?
Co-ordinated by The Faculty and some of Australia's senior procurement teams, this initiative aims to promote a community of learning and knowledge sharing for commercial leaders – and potentially some of your key stakeholders.

The Faculty works with leading Australian companies to enhance their capability in procurement through strategic consulting support, empowering procurement professionals and creating communities.
